In the wake of the NHL lockout coming to an end, the Toronto Marlies announced a few roster moves early Tuesday.
Toronto recalled forwards Andrew Crescenzi and Jamie Devane as well as goaltender Mark Owuya from their respective ECHL clubs. Toronto has also signed defenseman Ryan Grimshaw to a PTO (professional tryout contract). Listed below is information about the players.
Andrew Crescenzi
• Signed by the Maple Leafs as an undrafted free agent in 2010
• 20-year-old forward has played 23 games with the San Francisco Bulls of the ECHL tallying 14 points.
Jamie Devane
• Drafted by the Maple Leafs in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL entry draft
• Recorded 1 point in 12 games for the San Francisco Bulls
Mark Owuya
• Signed as a free agent by the Maple Leafs in 2011
• Appeared in six games for the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL posting a 3-3-0-0 record.
• Owuya posted a 2-2 record with the Marlies this season before being re-assigned
Ryan Grimshaw
• Played in 23 games for the Trenton Titans of the ECHL
• Logged six points
• Took part in Toronto Marlies training camp this season
